JDM Designs Ltd is me, Jonathan Meare. My 20+ year career as a Senior Buyer came to an end by choice in August 2008 and a new challenge and a new direction were the first things on the to-do list after a good old holiday.
Initially the beach towel clip idea had come to mind and had always been a case of "if I have the time and the money to follow it through..." anyway I did, so I did!
Having firstly registered a similar idea and another related design in the UK and in Europe I decided to investigate the clip and with the help of Lucid Group decided that the idea had legs.
The initial fag packet sketches became 3d computer models, the models became prototypes, the prototypes with the aid of Form Mould and Tooling became the product it is today and this Registered Design is now fully manufactured and distributed in the UK
